I’ve been having a fun time this year learning and performing the Ravel Piano Trio with my friends in the Linden Trio. Such an exciting piece with a roller coaster ride of moods: from the Basque-influenced dance-like first movement, the exhilarating Pantoum (snippet below), the mournful slow movement and the mystical and exciting final movement. We have a couple more performances of this piece scheduled in the coming weeks and I’m excited to have the opportunity to share it!
